Pelham holds the southernmost point in the state of New Hampshire, a spot known as the Old Boundary Pine, after a pine tree that marked a disagreement over where the northern edge of Massachusetts ran. The town itself was split from Old Dunstable once that border was settled. Its business life gathers along Bridge Street, the stretch of NH 38 that serves as the commercial hub, while Mammoth Road runs up the western edge. Owners in a border town often have customers on both sides, and that makes tidy records matter more.
