Is the consult really free?

Yes. I don't charge for consultations. I like talking to people, and a conversation is the easiest way to see whether I'm the right fit for your business. You leave with a plain answer about what your books need, whether or not you hire me.

Do I need to meet you in person?

No. Consults happen by phone or video, and the monthly work runs online through QuickBooks Online and shared statements. If you would rather talk something through face to face, ask when you book and I'll tell you what I can do.

What should I have ready for the consult?

Nothing formal. It helps to know which bank and card accounts the business uses, which payment apps clients pay through and roughly how far behind the books are. If you have a QuickBooks Online file, have your login handy so I can look later with your permission.

Will you judge my messy books?

I start where your books are today and make them make sense. Messy files are most of what I see, and the first look is about what to fix, never about how it got that way.

What do I need to get started?

Your recent bank and card statements, the payment apps you use and, if you have one, access to your QuickBooks Online file. That's enough for me to see where things stand and tell you what it would take to get them current.
